You may not know where much of our ideas for posts come from so we wanted to share. We travel, we read, we buy at second-hand stores and church sales, we curate from all over the internet and several other sources – but most of all, our unique content comes from items we have received from readers just like you!
That’s right, you can donate your old Czech stuff!
Areas of Interest
Our areas of interest include history, politics, literature (fiction and non-fiction), community/local history, family histories/genealogy, photographs, drawings, painting, immigration documents, folk and fine art, folk costumes, customs and traditions, religion, sheet music, musical recordings (reel to reel, records, cassettes, and CDs) agriculture, food/cooking, archival materials (photos, letters, organizational records, programs, ephemera, maps, posters, etc.), films and documentaries (16mm and 8mm/Super 8, DVD) and materials related to other ethnic groups with a presence in Czech and Slovak lands, such as Carpatho-Rusyns, Germans, Jews, Hungarians, and Roma (Gypsies).
People (just like you) send us their old Czech items such as letters, photographs, magazines, calendars, books, articles, journals, kroje, scrapbooks, wooden items, toys, maps, paintings, steins, glassware, etc. because they don’t want to keep it, but they realize it has value to other’s interested in Czech history.
Because of such items, we’ve been able to create posts and awaken all sorts of historical discussions with our readers all over the world.

We promise it will be cared for and not discarded. We’ll most likely eventually post about it but even if not, we’ll make sure it gets into the best hands for preservation.
Thank you in advance for your kind donations!
