Michal Trpák is a sculpture/painter born in České Budějovice in 1982. His eye catching art can be found all over public areas in Prague, and whether it be in a office space, a restaurant, or on the street, its contemporary style remains.
Though all of his art is unique and beautiful in its own way, his most recognized and famous series of work is probably his sculptures titled Slight Uncertainty. There are many of these sculptures. Some of them float above the cobblestones with an umbrella in their hands, the rest hang from colorful umbrellas like Mary Poppins in the EBC office center in Prague.
His name follows a long list of credentials including a PhD at The Academy of Arts Banska Bystrica in Slovakia, a Masters degree at The Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, a one year exchange stay at Lahti Taide in Finland, and one year at The Emily Carr Institute in Vancouver, Canada.
Now, Michal lives in the Czech Republic where he continues to study, create art, and set up exhibits and viewings of his amazing art. When he’s not working, he travels to exotic places around the world to gain inspiration.
