Serving up Chinese tea imported from Malaysia, Tea Mountain is a tea house located in the Karlin district of Prague. The ambiance is modern, yet tranquil. It is a great place to sit back, read, sip a cup of tea, and unwind.
Czechs love tea and though there are many tea houses around Prague, Tea Mountain is unique in the way that the owners visit tea farms and source the tea personally. The staff is knowledgeable and willing to explain anything without sounding like they are bragging.
Inside, a neutral tone of browns and blacks can be found in the decor and the wide range of tea they serve is on display at their bar. It is large enough to sit comfortably but small enough to have a cozy atmosphere. The bare wood, concrete walls, and low lighting give it an oriental feel.
Make sure to stop in and take a look next time you’re in Prague!
(We were looking at tea houses since our last visit to Denver and the Dushanbe Tea House there. If you’re in the states, you should check it out. )
