Petřín is home to 2,100 fruit trees which are located in the Seminar Garden (Czech: Seminářská zahrada) of Petřín park. In spring, the trees bloom with flowers of various colors, the majority of which are white and pink.
The garden is home to 800 almond trees and a pear tree which supposedly dates back to the time of the Czech poet and writer Jan Neruda (1834-1891).
Because of its location, the Seminar Garden offers wonderful views of the city and of the famous Prague Castle. One of the most beautiful times to visit the garden is during Spring when the almond, cherry, and apple trees blossom.
