The tradition of glass making in the Czech Republic dates back as early as the 13th century. The glass produced in the Czech Republic is known as Bohemian glass or Bohemian crystal and is internationally recognized for it’s beauty and high quality.
Czechs have long used their fine Bohemian glass to create various glass products, among which are their famous glass ornaments.
Czech artisans began using glass beads for their Christmas ornament designs as early as 1845. Americans recognized the beauty of these delicately crafted ornaments and in the early 1900’s, the United States imported thousands of glass ornaments from the Czech Republic.
To this day the Czech Republic produces some of the most beautiful glass ornaments in the world and their fragile ornaments are still valued for their beauty and charm.

They make their ornaments by blowing the glass, silvering, and then assembling the ornaments by hand. Each of their ornaments are unique and come with a certificate verifying their origin from the Krkonose mountains of the Czech Republic.
