You may have seen our recent posts about Czech Christmas traditions and just all things Czech Christmas. I recently found a video filmed by Metron, a Vimeo user focusing mainly on short travel movies. The short film captures Prague’s Christmas at its best and I just had to share.
The video gives you a real life like experience of walking through Prague during Christmas time. You will notice in the shots taken down streets and of the Charles bridge that there are no Christmas lights to be seen. That is because Czech people do not decorate their homes and businesses with lights. The most you will see is a candle in the window or some mistletoe hanging when you walk through the door.
In this video you can see many things we have written about recently on the blog. You can see people taking horse drawn carriage rides, images of the Lennon Wall, the changing of the castle guards, men selling boat tours, and much more we haven’t mentioned. Most of the video takes place in Prague’s Old Town Square where you can see the beautiful large Christmas tree and all of the Christmas stands set up.
