Castles are things you can find all over the Czech. This particular Italian style castle is located on a large park in the town of Napajedla which is in the Moravian region of the Czech Republic. Napajedla is a small town with only about 7,500 occupants.
The castle which is lovingly called the Napajedla Castle (named after the town in which it is located) has over 50 rooms and once served as a hotel. It was built by Kuildobald of Dietrichstein as a gift to his wife to spend their long relationship living in. All of the rooms have their original stained glass, painted ceilings, chandeliers.
The property has a lake, a few ponds and lots of trees. For the most part the fields are empty of any out buildings duo to the fact that it was once used for horse breeding and the English thoroughbred horses would roam free in the fresh air. Inside of this big baroque estate you can find a restaurant, spa, chapel, a breathtaking mirror hall, a salon as well as seventeen apartments, perfect for hosting many guests.
The Napajedla Castle has changed ownerships many times but one thing has never changed and never will, is the fact that it has been a big piece of this towns history for many many years. To read more about the history of the Napajedla Castle or even buy it click here!
