Today (August 1st, 2016) is my mother Kytka’s birthday. In case you don’t know who that is, she is the founder of and an author here at Tres Bohemes.
She is a true Bohemian. She was born in the Czech Republic and her parents immigrated to the US in search of a new life without communism. She was raised traveling from state to state and grew up as the successful entrepreneur she still is today.
She has traveled to or lived in most of America’s capitals and has a collection of books big enough to fill Grand Central Station in NYC. Now she spends her time reading, cooking, and celebrating life. She is attracted to the old, interesting, and quirky wonders of life and has never lost her sense of adventure.
Kytka, thank you for teaching us your wise lessons and allowing us to experience and make so many wonderful memories. You are not only the best mother… but also an icon to the world.
