Similar to the way when a child is raised listening to one accent, he or she is most likely going to grow up speaking with that accent. Not because he or she does not know that others exist but rather because it is the one it is the one heard most.
Music is the same except we have the power to control what we hear, therefore, we have the power to control how we think and speak.
Music is a powerful thing. It can make you happy when you’re sad or vice versa. Have you ever noticed the way you can be very angry and then you will listen to a certain song and you can’t help but smile, whether the song is connected to a good memory or you simply relate to the lyrics being sung?
Music not only influences the way we think, but also the way we act. For example, a person who listens to hostile music is much more adapt to want to pick fights, be loud, and have built up anger than one who would listen more to classical arrangements and beautiful ballads which bring a sense of serenity and clam.
I’m not saying that people shouldn’t listen to a specific kind of music, I believe that people should listen to whatever makes them happy. Saying that, some people are happy when they listen to hostile music. If that makes them be in a good mood, good for them! Just realize that if you are acting a certain way look back on some of the music you have been listening to and you might find that it sometimes reflects your actions.
