One thing that inspired me when we were in Prague and that continues to inspire me to this day is the colorful apartment buildings, and not only apartment buildings but just about every building there. Every time you turn a corner there is a new building of a new color. Even on the famous astronomical clock in Old Town Square you can find rich greens, golds, and when the light hits it just right, a beautiful shade of blue-purple.
During communism it was just the opposite, the buildings were all grey and drab. I guess that when they got their freedom back, an array of colors came with it. Whether you are visiting Prague in the spring, summer, winter, or autumn, you will find that no matter what the weather, the streets are always like a rainbow. That’s why I like to call Prague the city of color.
