I have a chair fetish.
Seriously. That is why I just had to post Mid-Century Czech Chair Designs.
I became hooked when my boyfriend Michael introduced me to Charles Rennie Mackintosh and his Art Nouveau chairs. Then I moved on to van der Rohe, Wright, Rietveld, Corbusier, Stickley, Breuer, Austral, Eames and Piretti. So many designers who changed the shape of the chair.
Today I want to share some retro chairs I just happened to find for sale on SBazar. Ordinary and yet not so ordinary chairs from grandmother’s house which epitomize the Communist era in their vision of functionality and comfort.
The chairs are not in any order and I don’t really even have any information about them. I just wanted to share, that’s all.
I hope you enjoy them!
