The average adult sleeps 7 to 8 hours a day. Even 8 hours of sleep is not enough for some people, and taking cat naps is a popular habit in countries like the United States. Sleep is a very important thing in peoples lives, not sleeping results in less concentration, headaches, and bad health. It is good to know when to sleep and how to sleep so that your body can take in all the rest it needs. Think about it, what do people do when they feel stressed, sick, and, of course, tired? They sleep. So here are a few tips to ensure that you get a good nights rest and that you feel refreshed in the morning.
Let me start off by saying this: sleep whenever your body feels tired. Don’t drag it out. This is something lots of people don’t do, especially during the day. If you feel tired at eight o-clock, your body is trying to tell you something. So even if you don’t want to, go to bed. And if you then wake up at five, don’t try to force yourself to go back to sleep. If your body wakes up at five, get up.
There have been lots of different opinions on napping. Mine is that it is fine. If you are tired, is napping going to hurt? I don’t think so. If you cannot fall asleep for whatever reason you might want to try Dream Water. Dream Water is a liquid made from the homeopathic substance called Melatonin used to help you fall asleep. It is also mixed with natural flavors to give a more palatable taste to the water. Drink one full bottle of Dream Water thirty minutes before you would like to sleep. This is perfect for busy people, and people who travel a lot.
If your problem is not falling asleep but rather not getting a good night’s rest, you might want to try to change your pillow. You have probably read that hard pillows are the best or vise-versa but the truth is that it all depends on the person. There is no one magical pillow that works for everyone. As for your mattress, again, it is all about what feels comfortable for you. I do believe that a medium firm mattress is the best, but that is just me. Try the Casper mattress, it really does work!
If you still can’t sleep, you might be doing something that you are not aware of, like
falling
For me that means reading a magazine. Finally, once you begin feeling tired, slip into bed and turn off the lights. Play some relaxing music and try thinking about what you are going to do the next day. This helps people fall asleep faster. This may not work for everyone, and you can change it up a little depending on your preference.
If you go to sleep when you are actually tired, and you fall asleep happy, you should wake up feeling fresh and renewed. If you have trouble waking up on your own don’t use an alarm clock, instead try downloading a app like SleepCycle to wake you up when your body is in its lightest sleep.
